THORACIC AORTIC DISEASE (TAD) COALITION

The Thoracic Aortic Disease (TAD) Coalition tadcoalition.org/tad/ is a group of organizations and individuals who share a common mission of preventing premature deaths due to thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection. The Coalition works collaboratively to achieve the following goals:

• Increase public awareness of factors predisposing to thoracic aortic aneurysms and acute aortic dissections (genetic and environmental factors)
• Provide educational materials concerning the symptoms, clinical evaluation and medical management of thoracic aortic disease
• Improve the diagnosis and management of aortic aneurysms by physicians and acute aortic dissections in the emergency room setting.
